Varian LaVearl West
Master Gardener

After a long and debilitating illness, Varian L. West was called home to his Heavenly Father on March 29, 2005. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He was born July 2, 1929 in Pleasant Grove, Utah to Varian W. and Edna Binns West.  Educated at the Utah School for the Deaf in Ogden, Utah.  He worked most of his life in the printing trade.  Varian married Lila Bosshardt July 1949.  They were the parents of four children, one of whom died in infancy.

They shared a very special love and bond.  She was his loving care-taker at home these last 2 years.

He is survived by his wife, Marion, his sons Richard and Billy (Wendy) and daughter Jolene (Vance) Dalton, six step children; William, Eric, Marianne, Glenn, and Alvin Malloy and Kathleen Angelo, 28 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and his special Chihuahuas.
